Sustenance
There is almost nothing we enjoy more than eating and drinking together, whether cooking at home (almost every night), or exploring new restaurants in New York, Jackson, and beyond. If you’re lucky, you too might one day get to experience Charlotte’s cooking alter ego, Nonna—a feisty, meatball-slinging, handmade-pasta-rolling Italian grandmother. The only thing she likes more than pasta is ice cream. All the ice cream.
While we know you’ll be doing most of your eating and drinking with us (it’ll be worth it!), there’s still a ton of great spots to check out in Jackson if you’re making a longer trip of it or your primary “activities” revolve around food consumption.
Here are a few local favorites:
Wilson
Nora’s Fish Creek Inn
A local institution with amazing breakfast, including the world’s best huevos rancheros. Just down the road from town and the village, in Wilson, WY.
Pearl Street Bagels
Delicious bagel sandwiches and coffee. If it’s warm enough, you can sit on the banks of Fish Creek.
Streetfood at the Stagecoach
Great “streetfood-inspired” menu—we love the fish tacos!
Teton Village
Old Yellowstone Garage
Located in Caldera House at the base of the mountain, OYG serves true Italian comfort food (our favorite). Great lasagna and pizzas in a stylish room.
Il Villaggio Osteria
Our favorite Teton Village spot for lunch, Osteria serves delicious homemade pizzas and pastas. (Did we mention we like pizza and pasta?).
Spur
Another great Teton Village après standby, located in Teton Mountain Lodge. Casual, rustic vibe with great food and even better spicy margaritas.
Town Of Jackson
Snake River Grill
One of our favorite spots in all of Jackson Hole. Some of the best local fine dining in a chic, log cabin-inspired space. Don’t miss the onion rings! Reservations recommended.
Persephone
The lines are long for a reason. The best baked goods, great brunch, and lunch. Recently moved, so double check your Google Maps! Morse family favorite. Bring a jar of jam home!
King Sushi
Creative sushi in a small place. Reservations recommended.
Wild Sage
Cozy, upscale, Western-inspired New American food in the Rusty Parrot Hotel.
Bin 22
Creative small plates and tapas served in an intimate room inside a wine store. Definitely try the mozzarellas and the octopus!
Moo’s Gourmet Ice Cream
Possibly Charlotte’s favorite place in Jackson. Gourmet, organic ice cream in a million flavors. What more could you want?
Sweet Cheeks Meats
Our local butcher, which also happens to serve amazing breakfast sandwiches and fish tacos. Menu is small and changes daily, but get whatever they are serving and get there early, or they will run out! Also some of the nicest people you’ll ever meet.
