Getting Here
We understand. Jackson is not the easiest place to get to. But its remoteness is of course part of what makes it such a magical place to visit. If you like spectacular views, clean, crisp mountain air, and any sort of outdoor activity, it is almost impossible not to love Jackson Hole in the fall. We promise you won’t be disappointed.
We strongly recommend flying into Jackson Hole Airport (JAC), the only commercial airport in the United States located entirely within a national park (Grand Teton National Park). It is a small and very manageable airport. The Town of Jackson is 15 minutes away; Teton Village an easy 30 minute drive by car or taxi. Less expensive flights can sometimes be found to Salt Lake City, UT (5 hour drive) and Idaho Falls, ID, (2 hour drive), but you will need to rent a car and plan for some mountain pass driving in what can be unpredictable weather in early fall. Delta, United, and American are the only airlines with service. The Jackson Hole Airport website is a great resource for air travel/ground transportation information.

Getting Around
Rental Cars
If you would like to have some flexibility during your stay here, or want to do any individual exploring, we highly recommend renting a car (particularly one with 4-wheel drive). We recommend using Alamo, Enterprise, Hertz, and National, as these rental agencies are located on site at the airport, and don’t require a separate shuttle ride like Avis, Dollar, Thrifty.
Taxis
There are typically plenty of taxi services available at the airport, but you may wish to call and book ahead after you confirm flights. Standard taxi fares from the airport are $70 to Teton Village and $40 to the Town of Jackson for up to 2 people. Each additional rider is $10. We recommend the following taxi services:
A Black Car Service LLC: 307.413.2572
Summit Transportation: 307.264.0880
Stagecoach Taxi: 307.699.0665
Snake River Taxi: 307.413.9009
Old Faithful Taxi: 307.699.4020
Uber
While Uber has arrived in the valley, it can be a bit spotty and unreliable, especially in the shoulder seasons. We recommend using the taxi services above and not necessarily counting on Uber to get you everywhere!
